Hydrangea-Smooth Invincibelle® 'Mini Mauvette®' - 3 Gal.

Hydrangea arborescens INVINCIBELLE® 'Mini Mauvette®'

Cold climate gardeners, rejoice: there's finally a purple hydrangea for you! Introducing Invincibelle Mini Mauvette hydrangea - it's unlike anything that's ever come before. Why? Well, it blooms every single year, even in cold climates and is impervious to bad pruning. It's the same type of hydrangea as the classic and much-loved 'Annabelle' but instead of plain white blooms, the flowers are a deep pink-mauve, and they're held up on strong, sturdy stems that don't flop. The show begins in early summer and because Invincibelle Mini Mauvette is a rebloomer, it continues clear through frost for an endless supply of flowers for the landscape or vase (both fresh and dried!).

Seasonal Note: Many deciduous plants have started to go dormant for the season. You may experience yellow, spotted and dropping leaves. This is completely normal at this point in the season. Reach out if you have any questions!

Growing Tips

We recommend a minimum of six hours of sun for Invincibelle Mini Mauvette for the strongest stems and most abundant, most colorful blooms. In hot climates, afternoon shade is okay, but we still recommend a few hours of morning sun or filtered light through the day for best results. Smooth hydrangeas like Invinicbelle Mini Mauvette should be pruned in early in spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge on the stems. Cut the entire plant back by about one-third its total height. This serves to build up a strong woody base while also encouraging vigorous new growth with lots of flowers.
